Honesty
Honesty refers to a facet of moral character and denotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness and straightforwardness along with the absence of lying, cheating or theft.
"Honor lies in honest toil."
- Grover Cleveland- 22nd U.S. President
Integrity
Integrity is defined as an integration of outward actions and inner values, same outside and on the inside. It is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness of one's actions. Integrity can be regarded as the opposite of hypocrisy, in that it regards internal consistency as a virtue.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Trust
Trust is firm reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, or character of a person or organization. We trust our resources and clients for common good.
"The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them."
- Ernest Hemingway
Continuous Learning
In any organization, continuous learning means growth through learning events and experiences. It can be applied to individuals, team, and organizations- a process that will help them to achieve their overall objectives.
Undergoing a continuous learning process entails change; one cannot learn and still be the same person, team, or organization. There is a constant evolution in the way we think and act, brought about by new understanding, new knowledge, and new skills.
One of the worst phrases that any person or entity can say is, "I already know that", because this can very well destroy any chances of continuous learning. And when there is no learning, there is no growth.
"The learning and knowledge that we have, is, at the most, but little compared with that of which we are ignorant."
- Plato
Innovation
Innovation is the development of new customer value through solutions that meet new needs, unarticulated needs, or old customer and market needs in new ways. This is accomplished through different or more effective products, processes, services, technologies, or ideas that are readily available to markets, governments, and society.
"Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower."
- Steve Jobs
Passion
Passion can be defined as a strong inclination towards a self-defining activity that people love, that they consider important, and in which they devote significant amounts of time and energy.
A self-defining activity means one that contributes significantly to a person's identity — the difference between being a clarinettist (a passion) and playing a clarinet (a pastime).
"A great leader's courage to fulfil his vision comes from passion, not position."
- John Maxwell.
